Mississippi River Flood Stage maps and information

WAFB TV has a great link to Mississippi river stage heights. Also, forecasts of river stages for the next 5 days.

The National Weather Service also has this page so that you can select the areas you would like to have information on. When you are on their page select from each column:  “Mississippi River Select the points” and “Select the information you want: NOTE: Availability of information varies.” You will be able to view a graph of the river stages.

The Baton Rouge Advocate has this map on their website showing the flood areas that may happen if the Morganza Spillway is opened. The article states that it would be a gradual opening so that people can prepare.

An Inundation Map for the Morganza Spillway was released today by the Army Corps of Engineers and is marked as a Pre-decisional Document. It was in the Daily Comet of Thibodaux, LA.
